The veteran big man has ended his time with the team after 9 seasons across four separate stints. Cohen won five championships and two State Cups while playing in 523 official games

Cohen joined Maccabi in 2013 right after finishing his college career at Davidson, where he set school records for blocks and starts. After playing 14 games in yellow at the beginning of that season, he was loaned to Maccabi Rishon LeZion. He put up solid numbers there and returned to Maccabi the following season, helping the team win the State Cup.
Jake went on to play the next two seasons with Aris Thessaloniki in Greece and Maccabi Ashdod, and returned to Maccabi in 2017. He became a key contributor to the team, including an 18-point performance in the championship game where Maccabi beat Hapoel Holon and he claimed the first championship of his career. Cohen continued to show strong form and leadership qualities over the next two years, each ending with another championship. In 2020, he spent a season with Obradoiro in Spain, but afterward chose once again to return to the yellow-and-blue.
The power forward, who occasionally played as a center, found ways to contribute both on and off the court during his most recent stint, including serving as a starter for extended periods under coach Oded Kattash. This past season, he lifted his final title with Maccabi — the State Cup — and reached a personal milestone by joining an elite list of only nine players who have represented the club in at least 500 official games, ranking eighth.
