Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball Club wishes to thank Jasiel Rivero and wishes him and his family success in their next step. The Cuban center, who won the championship, the State Cup, and the Winner Cup with the yellows, was part of the team that finished the season in first place and was just one win away from another title before the deciding game was canceled.
“Papi” Rivero and his family became an inseparable part of the team over the past two years, and the center himself was considered a fan favorite, both among Maccabi supporters and within the club.
The Cuban himself posted the following message on social media: “Hello, Maccabi family. Today I say goodbye to this club, this team, and this family that opened its doors to me and made me feel at home from day one. Thank you to every teammate, staff member, management, and every fan for so much affection, for all the battles we fought together, for every moment we experienced together on and off the court”.
“I take with me amazing memories, true friendships, and an experience I will never forget. This is not a farewell, just the end of a wonderful chapter. I wish you all the best always. I will continue to support you from wherever I am. With all my respect, affection, and gratitude – Yalla Maccabi!”.
