American Marcus Brown, one of the greatest guards of all time in Europe, has retired from basketball at the age of 37.

Shooting guard Marcus Brown, 37, 6’4”, has announced his retirement from basketball. One of the all-time greatest American players in Europe, Brown is the leading scorer in the Euroleague with 2,715 career points. He was the first player to score over 2,500 points in the Euroleague. Brown reached the Euroleague Final Four three times in his career, and was named to All-Euroleague Teams (First Team or Second Team) three times. He played for eleven different teams during his 15 year career.
Marcus Brown played for Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv during the 2008 – 2009 season, averaging 12.3 points per game in the Euroleague.
