The yellows will face the Basques (Thursday, 21:00CET Sport5), in the 29th round of the EuroLeague, in a game that’s simply a must win. Spahija: “I cannot asses what will happen, we’ll see what we can take from the game”
As soon as practice ended, Coach Spahija addressed the media: “We have prepared well, and I cannot asses what will happen, so it’s hard to tell what the chances are. The game is mostly up to them, as of late they are playing great especially on defense. They will play their most important game of the season so far, in front of their fans; but we will give it all that we got and see what we can take from the game”.
Coach also addressed the team playing with two different rosters due to the “Russian rule” in the domestic league: “I’m trying to be fair and explain the problem that Maccabi have in comparison to the other teams who are playing with the same roster in the domestic league, and we can’t. This is a question that needs to be referred to the management we have a lot of time left to talk about it as there are three months left in the season”.
