The brilliant performance by Anthony Parker in Maccabi’s win in Siena, awarded him 40 valuation pts and put him in second place of this weeks MVP ranking in the Euroleague. In first place is Lithuanian Arvydas Macijauskas, who collected 50 valuation pts for scoring 40 pts for TAU Vitoria.
Parker closed the gap between him and Arvydas Sabonis in the MVP ranking after the seventh day of Euroleague’s regular season. Sabonis has 27.42 pts and Parker 26.28.
Parker is ranked in five other categories: third in 3pts% (56.25%), fifth in 2pts% (71.73%), sixth in points scored (ave. 18.42), ninth in FT% (87.8%) and 13th in assists (3.71).
Five more Maccabi players are ranked after the first round of the regular season: Nikola Vujcic: 4th in points (19.42) 5th in MVP (22.28), 7th in FT% (89.28%). Maceo Baston: 4th in rebounds (9.14), 5th in BS (1.42) & 5th in steals (2.42).
Sarunas Jasikevicius: 3rd in assists (5.00) and 4th ins FT% 91.66%). Deon Thomas: 6th in 2pts% (69.44) and Derrick Sharp 7th in 3pts% (52.00%).
