Maccabi Fox Tel Aviv finished its first week of preseason games on a high note, with a 92:87 win over Barcelona. While Sonny Weems and Andrew Goudelock didn’t play, Victor Rudd used the short rotation to score 18 points and lead Maccabi’s impressive 4th quarter comeback.
“We had too many turnovers against Panathinaikos, but this time around we all got in a rhythm together”, said Rudd, “We have to get Sonny and Andrew on the same page when they get back. It’s hard for me to say whether we’re Euroleague contenders or not, because I’ve never played in that league. All I can do is help my team win and this time we beat a very good team”.
“We had good and bad moments. The bad ones were mainly due to us playing bad on defense and shooting threes instead of getting in the lane. We have to get to the free throw line more often”.
