Only six players from the Maccabi roster practiced this Morning. Head Coach Neven Spahija will travel this evening to Athens for tomorrow’s draw
Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv players had their first full practice session this morning after last night session was called off because of the smoke in Hadar Yosef, caused by enthusiastic fans. The three new players, Rodney Buford, Will Bynum & Simas Jasaitis took part as well as Derrick Sharp, Nikola Vujcic & Regev Fanan. Lior Eliyahu (sick) & Tal Bursein (injured), were absent as well as Jamie Arnold, Yaniv Green & Sharon Shason on National Team duty. Another familiar face was Sharunas Jasikevicius, ex Maccabi player and now with the Indiana Pacers.. Maccabi players & staff are looking forward to the Euroleague Regular Season Draw that will be held tomorrow in Athens. The team will be represented by President Shimon Mizrahi, General Manager Ami Eshel & Head Coach Neven Spahija. Next Wednesday, 20/09/06, the team will travel to Zrece, Slovenia where they will hold a training camp in which they will also play three games.
