The Euroleague Board, meeting in Barcelona, decided on Friday that Montepaschi Siena will replace Virtus Bologna in Group B of the Euroleague. Virtus has been eliminated from the Italian League due to financial difficulties.
Maccabi Eliite Tel Aviv will play in Siena on Day 7 of the Rregular Season on December 18, 2003. The return game in Tel Aviv will be played on Day 14 on February 19, 2004. Maccabi beat Montepaschi home & away last season which did not prevent the Italian club to reach the Euroleague Final Four in Barcelona.
