Will Solomon & Kirk Penney landed this afternoon at Ben Gurion Airport and will start Sunday their training with their new team mates at Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv.
Both of them were surprised by the large number of Media representatives waiting for them. “It is good to be back in Israel”, said Solomon who two years ago played for Hapoel Jerusalem. “I am joining the best team in Europe and I have no doubt that we will continue to win all titles. This is the best team I have ever played for”. Last season Solomon played for Efes Pilsen Istanbul.
Penney, member of the New Zealand National Team who last season played in the NBDL in the US, was very excited. “This is a great opportunity for me to play for Europe’s number one team”, he said, “I am looking forward to meet my new team mates and to start preparing for the new season”.
