Though losing the Crete tournament finals to the EuroLeague runner ups game the Yellow and Blue squad are pleased with their performance so far knowing that they will be competitive against the strongest teams in teams in the continent as the 2017/18 EuroLeague season is due in less than a month.
Head Coach Spahija summarized the preseason tournament: “I think we can say positive things on our future. It will not take us long to start analyzing what happened in tonight’s game, especially in the second half so that we can learn from our mistakes and get better. Tonight’s game had two completely different halves, the third quarter was the decisive one and despite we never gave up the better team won tonight. It’s too early to tell how our season will look, but we will fight for all the domestic titles and for EuroLeague playoffs.”
Michael Roll added: “We played with a lot of energies in the first half, but in the second half Olympiacos were more physical than us. We fought and showed great character on both ends of the court, we’re are still learning how to play with each other, how to play more physically and how to get the job done”.
