“I think that 10 minutes of good defense in the second half were enough to win this game”, said Coach Spahija after the 70:83 victory over Eilat. “We realize we’re not a 100% but that is the way and at the beginning I think that every day is a possibility and every game is a possibility to learn something new and to go forward. We start our preparation for CSKA tomorrow (i.e. Sunday) and hope that everyone is going to be healthy because we have a short rotation right now especially in the point guard position”.
“It was the delay that kind of made us restart”, said Johnny O’Bryant who finished as the top scorer with 16P and 4R. “Eilat came out firing, I think for us we needed to execute and we are a talented team and our talent definitely stepped up for us”. Johnny also addressed the Tuesday game versus CSKA: “It’s my first time playing an opponent that tough and they say they are a well-oiled machine so I’m excited to play against a tough matchup and try and get this win”.
