Now it is official. Sarunas Jasikevicius will play for the Indiana Pacers in the next three seasons. President and CEO Donnie Walsh said today: “We made an agreement with him. We have a deal. Its’s big in Europe, there is no doubt about it. And I think that within the NBA, there are a lot of teams that have high regard for Sarunas”.
Walsh says that Saras is the number one European player. “He complements the players we have on the team now and he can be a great addition in a lot of areas – shooting, passing, competitiveness and professionalism. We were in a good position to compete for the championship before Sarunas. Now we are in an even better position”.
Saras is expected to travel to Indianapolis to sign wityh the pacers in the next 10 days.
