Nikola Vujcic landed this afternoon at Ben Gurion airport and will start training on Thursday. The big Croat signed this summer a three year contract with Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv.
” I realise that the pressure will be even greater this season”, says Vujcic,”the fact that the Final Four will be staged in Yad Eliyahu makes Maccabi one of the top contenders for the Euroleague title and I believe we have a great chance”.
Vujcic, who had a nose operation early this summer, has denounced a chance to play in the NBA next season. “I believe that with Maccabi I can still improve my game. For me Maccabi is the European NBA”.
After the arrival of Parker & Vujcic, Maccabi expects to welcome new signing Maceo Baston on Wednesday.
