Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv started the EuroLeague season with an 85–78 loss to Anadolu Efes, after a game characterized by a lot of fight and sacrifice. The Yellows were led by Jaylen Hoard and Roman Sorkin with 15 points each.

“We didn’t come in as favorites, but we’re disappointed because we could have won, we were there,” explained coach Oded Kattash. “We lost focus and made bad decisions, mainly on offense. We need to learn to play together as a team; it will take time.”
“They controlled the offensive rebounds, and we didn’t really find an answer for that in the first half,” said Oshae Brissett, who contributed 9 points and 7 boards. “We need to play with the ability we showed today in certain parts of the game throughout the full 40 minutes, and I believe we will be good”.
“I don’t think we played our best, but we were close to winning,” Jimmy Clark concluded. “I believe we will continue to progress game by game, and we will be fine.”
