In their third game in just 96 hours days Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv played against Rishon Le Zion on the road wanting to continue their positive momentum. The game went down to the wire as Rishon managed to tie the game and send it to overtime. Roll came up big on both ends of the floor sending the game to a second overtime where Zoosman scored the winning basket allowing the yellows to start preparing for their upcoming EuroLeague game against Bayern with everybody knowing what needs to be done on Thursday.

“It was a very interesting game for the fans here”, said coach Giannis Sfairopoulos. ‘We were a little bit better in regulation, Rishon knows how to play here, and at home they are a tough team and well organized on the court. They came back and got the lead in the end we had the chance to win before the end of regulation but we missed the last shot, after that we didn’t start well the first overtime they got a small lead but with good defense we manage to score easy fastbreak points to come back into the game and then in the second overtime I think we were very focused defensively we did a great job on defense they didn’t score and in the end we made some good play and won the game”.

“I want to congratulate my players”, coach Giannis added. “it’s tough to play three games in five days, that was a really big issue for our player to play with this energy and to play like that with good concentration in this tough game and that’s why I want to congratulate them for the win and for the effort of how they played this game, I’m happy that we fought till the end and the end we won the game”.

The focus is to win this game, we’ll think about Bayern when we get there”, said Jeremy Pargo who finished the game as the leading scorer with 17P. “We needed to win this game, we’re tied with Holon and every game we have an opportunity to win we need to win. Can’t look forward we have days to rest and prepare for the next game but tonight was important for us”.
