Maccabi Fox Tel Aviv held a special screening of Dani Menkin’s film “77:78 On The Map”. The screening was attended by team players, management and staff. The film chronicles Maccabi’s historic campaign which yielded the team’s first ever European trophy. Several members of that team now considered club legends, where in attendance as well, including: Tal Brody and Aulcie Perry.

“I was looking around during the movie and I noticed no one fell asleep, so that’s already something”, said Brody, “Every year I attend the NBA All-Star weekend with a few former players from my days and because we’re all quite old, they forget and ask me the same questions: Why I made the decisions I made and so on. I think this movie demonstrates exactly how wonderful my journey has been. They ask me if I would have made the same decision today and I tell them that I wouldn’t trade my years with Maccabi for anything”.

“So for all the players that are here today I say – You’re part of a family and when you leave, whenever that might ne, the experiences you’ll take with you will last a lifetime. We’re still on the map and now you’re a part of it. You have what it takes to be a great team”.

Sonny Weems, who’s just now starting his first year with Maccabi, said: “I had no idea about the club’s history, but now I understand Maccabi’s tradition and I just want to play. This film got me excited; I can’t wait for the season to begin”.
