Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv has signed American shooting guard D.J. Seeley (26, 6’4″) to a one year contract with an option for an additional year. He is the club’s fourth new player signed this summer, joining Mike Zirbes, Quincy Miller, and Sonny Weems. Also new to the team is the entire coaching staff: head coach Erez Edelstein, Rami Hadar, and Lior Lubin.
Seeley is a talented shooting guard with a lot of game smarts, who combines excellent scoring ability with a top level pick and roll game (he was ranked fourth in the Spanish League for points from the pick and roll). He also knows how to supply a lot of points in a short period of time. Upon signing with Maccabi, Seeley said, “I’m excited and proud to be joining Maccabi Tel Aviv, and to play for such a high quality, respected club. I can’t wait to land in Tel Aviv and play in front of Maccabi’s great fans.”
Last season, Seeley played for Spanish club Gran Canaria. Prior to that, he gained European experience with Be?ikta? of Turkey and Bàsquet Manresa in Spain.
